Park Facilities

Being situated by Lake Sambell and bordered by Spring Creek adds to our extensive range of popular facilities.

Guest Facilties

Camp Kitchen

Our camp kitchen is fully equipped with everything campers and holidaymakers want.

Fire drums and firewood

Our park provides fire drums and firewood. Orders for fire drums and firewood close at 4.30pm daily, so make sure you get organised early in the day to avoid disappointment.

You are welcome to pre-order a drum and wood prior to your arrival. You can bring your own wood and fire drum providing it is up off the ground, so it does not burn the grass underneath.

Ashes must not be dumped around the park, please empty them into the bright red ash bins provided.

Recreational Facilities

There are many activities available to you whilst staying at Lake Sambell Caravan Park.

Lake Sambell is stocked with trout on an annual basis; there are also Redfin and Yellow Belly fish in the water. Fishermen will require a fishing licence if over 18 years of age.

Mini Golf

The park has its own free Mini Golf course – help yourself to the golf sticks and balls available from the kiosk.

Volleyball & Badminton

We have a net erected in the park, which is fun for a game of volleyball or badminton. Balls, bats and shuttlecocks are available for loan from the kiosk.

The park provides access to many walking trails including the walk to Lake Kerford, the path around Lake Sambell and we are only 10 to 15 minutes walk to the centre of historic Beechworth.

Bike Riding

Victoria's High Country is a mountain biker's paradise, featuring 10 mountain bike parks at 8 great destinations. Backcountry riding, plenty of town facilities and a community of locals and trail builders who keep dishing up new trails on a regular basis.

The proximity of the trail destinations, combined with the variety of terrain, makes the High Country a truly special destination for mountain biking. From beginner mountain biker to elite athlete, cross country through to downhill and everything in between: everyone can find what they are looking for.

Our park is centrally located to the start of the Indigo Epic Trail, the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail as well as the Beechworth Mountain Bike Park. We cater for bike riders of all levels in accommodation to suit all budgets.
